Adopted!!!! Fawn finds a new home in Marietta!

The final chapter in this love story has Fawn doing the Happy Dance today - she found a new family that lives close to the Marietta Farmer's Market.  Her family has been visiting our booth for quite a while, and it was finally time to add a greyhound to their family.  We hope to see Fawn at the farmer's market in the future.

I've spoken with her new Mom and we hope to do activities together with the Seesters from time to time.  We know her first few nights will be a transition and Fawn did whine at our house the one night she stayed at the PawSee Ponderosa on her way to the kennel.  I'm confident she is going to be a treasured family member and we'll see lots of her in the future!

It's My Birthday - I'm 3 Years Old!

Jon and I drove up to the kennel to check on Fawn and take her some treats for her birthday today.  She experienced her 1st Cheeseburger and Chicken Nuggets tonight.  She was snoozing in her kennel relaxed when we stopped by.  She definitely has the traits of an 'old soul' hound.  She's very calm - very waggy tail in the kennel but hasn't gotten happy tail (yeah! She's had it in the past due to a hairless stump at the tip of her tail).

Fawn is sporting her Happy Birthday Sash, a Birthday Girl necklace, and a glittery purple cowgirl hat.  The collar she is wearing will go home with her to her new family - pretty yellow and purple designs.

Chicken Nuggets are very tasty!  Little Cheezeburgers are even better!

Does this hat make my nose look BEEG?

I'm going to be a cuddler when I get to know you!  I love to be petted by people!  I walk very calmly on a leash and would love to go on long walks with you.

I had a Greyt 3rd Birthday with Auntie Lisa and Uncle Jon!

Inspection at the Track

This is Fawn pictured this spring shortly after her vet inspection waiting for her race to start.  You can see she is alert with her eye on the game and excited for the race to come.  If she's anything like her two Seesters, she will love to play chase in the yard, just as she did following the lure around the track.  Her body language exudes confidence and she enjoys the companionship of people.

We hope her appointment with the vet went well today.  She was spayed, had a dental cleaning, was brought current on her vaccinations, and evaluated for overall health.  Tomorrow is her 3rd birthday, and I hope that her forever family finds her and they can celebrate the gift of her adoption together.  I have a few greyt cookie/muffin/cake recipes to pass along to her adoptive family that are hound approved.

Sweet dreams tonight little one!  Your new family will find you soon!

Did I Tell You She Loves to Give Sugar....

Fawnderella is shown on one of the puppy farms building the necessary skills to be a successful racer and future pet.  Being friendly, well adjusted to people, confident and 'cute' helps when a racer gets to the racing kennel at the track.  Obviously, Fawn was not only a brown-noser, but also a real suck up for attention when she was 'adjusting' to track life!

Smooches everyone - Luv Ya!  Keep me in your prayers, tomorrow is my surgery day, and the following day I turn 3 Years Old!  Can you say Pawty?!!!

Baby Fawn as a Wee One!

Eyes open, but not more than a few weeks old.  Photo credit to Brianna Burkhart.  Such cuteness - she loves to please people, and those crossed paws - definitely relaxed and confident!

Stay tuned for tomorrow's photo - you'll love the next one!

Meet Fawn - littermate to our Sessy and Diva!

We've followed this litter since they were 12 weeks old.  Each had a different owner, but all started their lives on a farm in Missouri.  We are avid supporters of various greyhound adoption groups, and bid on the right to name a pup from this litter, and that's how we connected with Fawn and Diva - the Three Seesters!

Sessy, Fawn and Diva reunited in Georgia!  Sessy is the pup on the left that we named and had first adoption rights to; she raced as HD's Sessy Won at Sarasota and Daytona Beach for nearly a year.

Below is pictured baby Fawnderella.  Her farm and racing call name is Fawn, and she does know her name when you call it!  We hope her family will keep the name she's known since she was a pupper.

We hope that she will stay connected with her Paulding PawSee Seesters.  She will make a fantastic therapy dog, meet and greet dog, and wonderful pet.
